We are based near Ilkeston, Derbyshire and provide Energy Performance Certificates (EPC's) and Legionella Risk Assessments for ​Residential/Domestic Properties, covering the Derby and Nottingham areas.

What We Provide
DOMESTIC ENERGY ASSESSMENTS
Energy Performance Certificates, widely known as EPC's are a legal requirement when letting or selling a property.
They provide a breakdown of your properties energy consumption, cost and carbon emissions.
An EPC is scaled from A-G with any rented or leased property having to achieve A-E to meet current legislation.
Accredited through Elmhurst Energy, Assess My Home can guide you through the recommendations within the EPC helping you make improvements to create an energy efficient home.
EPC's are commonly required when applying for Energy Grants such as ECO4 or GBIS (Great British Insulation Scheme) and in addition can help in securing lower mortgage interest rates for properties with a better EPC rating.

LEGIONELLA RISK ASSESSMENT
Legionella is a bacteria found in water, commonly in places like cooling towers, spa pools and in residential hot and cold water systems.
If managed and controlled properly the risk of Legionnaire's Disease is low, however if insufficient control measures are in place, Legionnaire's Disease is very dangerous.
Assess My Home is accredited through Elmhurst Energy to provide Legionella Risk Assessments, which minimises the risk of tenants being exposed to Legionella and ensure Landlords and Property Owners meet with latest guidelines and legislation.
Following a 5 step process our reports will highlight any potential problems and the risks associated.
It is recommended that a Legionella Assessment is performed every 2 years.
